Now that we're full from eating lunch at Hale Moana at VenusFort, it's time to have some family fun again. The kids' first-time riding on a ferris wheel was at Palette Town last year, and we would have fun, so went again this year. The Daikanransha, also known as Giant Sky Wheel, is a landmark in Odaiba, and it's 100 meters high and 115 meters wide. From here, you can see great views of the Tokyo and Tokyo Bay.
The ferris wheel offers two different type of capsules, colored or clear; and it's normally a longer waiting time for a clear capsule. Both times we rode in the colored capsule because we didn't want to wait too long (we have antsy children).
Maybe next time we'll try the clear capsule. It does look pretty neat!
Okay, is it just me, or does this look like a cheesy entrance to a 16-minute make-out session? Memories!!!
Mega Web's display of its cars extends above the building.
This is a view of Tokyo from our trip last week. You can see Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Tower, the train station, and Fuji TV Headquarters.
This, along with the other evening shots, are from our first-time in the ferris last year.
The kids had such a great time viewing the city from in here, and we don't have to struggle with keeping them properly seated because they might fall out.
On the far right is Tokyo Big Sight and Kasai Rinkai Park's ferris wheel.
View of the same spot at night. I think the city looks so great at night.
