Showa Kinen Park is one of my favorite parks in Tokyo. Located in Tachikawa, not only is there something for everyone, but the landscape changes with every season--cherry blossoms in the spring, green as it can get during the summer, changing of colors in the fall, and holiday lights during the winter holidays.
Raised in California, fall was never one of my favorite seasons. It was just a transition between summer and winter. Perhaps it was because there wasn't that much change in the landscape between seasons in Los Angeles. It wasn't until I moved to Tokyo, Japan that I gained an appreciation for the beauty in the changing of colors during the fall.
I wanted to share a few photos from my trip to Showa Kinen Park today. With so many activities and areas, I will probably highlight some of my favorites in different posts. For now, I hope you enjoy these photos.
